While TeamViewer seems to be the best solution on the market, their licensing model is really, really bad in my opinion. It’s expensive and you are regularly forced into updates otherwise you cannot connect to newer clients anymore – i would be willing to pay for TeamViewer, but i think it’s quite overpriced for what it really is, after all. Sad that they aren’t offering a “light” version, i would immediately purchase that.

Internally i am using Remmina and i really do like it.

In other cases, AnyDesk might be a good alternative. It might not be working as perfect as TeamViewer in all circumstances, but for many situations it was working just fine.

Try and decide yourself.
