GNU/Linux Elementary OS “Freya”: Use elementary-tweaks to change *single click* action to *double click* in “Files”

I can do all of my daily business stuff within Elementary OS today, while maintaining nearly the same battery life as with OSX (this required some tweaking – to be fair), there was one issue left that was annoying me: i’m using the “Files” browser and each time i clicked an entry, it would open the file. I really do prefer to use double click here, so here is a simple solution:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mpstark/elementary-tweaks-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install elementary-tweaks

and it will add the “tweaks” icon to your system settings:

From there, select the “Files” (german: “Dateien”) application and disable “single-click”. – Voila!

p.s. i’ve also found locking the Plank dock to be particularly useful, because i often accidentally dragged icons around. I also liked changing the dock theme to “froyo” by cassidyjames.
